Looking through the parts book i was not able to locate the rubber shifter boot used on the automatic transmission. Is the boot the same as on the stick shift cars ? Has anyone located a part number? Source for the boot? The transmission in may car is a borg warner, so it is possible that this rubber boot could have been used on other cars, but i have not found anything so far..
the attachment shows a picture of the shift linkage with the boot attached..

I have one from my own car that i need myself, but if needed i could take measurements so you could produce a mould from it.

It isn't a complex shape i think, and tolerances are not tight at all. Basic shape is a cilinder with a bottom and a hole in it, and the cilinder is mated to a flat top surface.

can you send me some pictures of it and basic measurements..greatly appreciated..
my email : [email protected]
I love my automatic car and have no intentions to convert it to a stick shift...
Regards
Hervé

My basic desciption as given in my previous post is not correct, It is a cilinder, but there is no flat shape merged to it.

Herewith some exact measurements + a drawing:
Height is 53 mm
Diameter is 76 mm (plus minus 2 mm, it's not easy to measure a floppy unround rubber part)

And it does have at the top a thickened ring, thickened to the inside. 7,5 mm thick and 5 mm high.
On the bottom it has folds and a hole. The folds are there to allow movement of the rod poking through it. Hole is 9,5 mm.
First fold is directed up into the cilinder. it is 20 mm deep.
second fold, also directed into the cilinder is about 7 mm deep.
The small cilinder sticks out by 2 mm at the bottom

hope this is helpfull.
