I know the thread on what we do with our cars each day is quite popular but one of mine got to have some fun without me as I was away for work. Luckily the chief mechanic and her mum were around. The Hobart BMW dealership had their launch of the new M Class cars a couple of nights ago and they wanted a guest of honour for the event.

Complete with it's own security! They told people it was electrified..

Lola made sure all was in order.

It wasn't until after dark things got really cool when the LED's kicked in. No. I haven't installed them on the car!

I'm told the car was a massive hit. My poor wife was inundated with questions about the car.

Who am I?
Did I want to sell it?
Is it a replica - this got the response it deserved.
What's your phone number??
All Amanda wanted to do was enjoy the free gourmet food and booze!

Wish I'd been there but nice for the family to see first hand the response the car gets from strangers instead of just hearing me tell them it's a thing.

Excellent, well done. The car looks great.

My local BMW dealership borrowed mine for the M4 launch, it did not have the same attention or protection. But to be fair it is not in the same condition.
Between them they could not manage the battery isolator nor close the sunroof. I can’t be sure but perhaps it gained some additional scratches, there were plenty before so not the end of the world.

It is no longer available for BMW dealers to borrow and I shop elsewhere.

Fantastic of the dealership to realize the significance of the CSL. And of course, once again, even more fantastic is the result you have achieved in bringing it to its full glory in such a short amount of time!

I’m sure that there is a portion of young associates that did not know this car exists, or it’s importance in the history of BMW Motorsport. It just may make them more informed sales associates while peddling M cars.
