i appreciate you @enoz05
but if you say unobtanium and you offer it is sort of oximoron, the unobtainable offer that i bring you today
at the same time the title is not very descriptive, but indeed a lovely clickbait
nothing against, a simple comment

Awesome. Thanks for the info. If anyone has another set of these I’m in the market for them!

I recall just seeing an email from Maximillion with these same parts on it... now available new again (if I am recalling correctly).
Wonder what the differences are - don't recall the $$ they wanted for them, but... just an interesting aside...
As I was not needing any - I didn't really pay attention to it - but it did catch my attention.

On a side note -
I've had a Mustang since the late 70's - a '68 GT convertible. (I still have that car actually).
I remember having a devil of a time getting some of the trim parts and such when I wanted to work on it (back then).
When I had the car restored in the mid/late 2000's - most everything needed (or wanted) to get was available - either NOS or reproduced.
Funny how when the value of the car gets to a certain point - parts either come out of a forgotten warehouse or someone starts making them again.
Capitalism at its finest.... LOL

Same thing here, to a point IMO - my 2800CS had a busted trunk tool kit housing. I bought a replacement a few years back from BMW.
Sure - it wasn't cheap - but it was available.

With the increasing value these cars have been reaching recently - and evolving manufacturing technologies available now - Will be an interesting future for us.....
Hopefully in a good way.

I inquired about the Max ones but they’re repros and don’t say Hella and such. My car deserves me trying harder to find original ones!

Actually, they are quite nice, they just do not say Hella on them. For ~$50 or so each they are a great deal for most of us. ;)
Opinions differ on this of course, some only want Original, others are satisfied with reproductions

I was referring to the fact that you stated they are "very bad reproductions" which is completely false. They are actually very nice and made by a respected member of the BMW community and an actual BMW owner. That is much different than saying you prefer original over reproductions, which we all do.

Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against Maximillion and appreciate everything he does for the BMW community.
What bothers me most about the reproduction license plate light is the screw at the top. This could have been much better and I think it's badly reproduced.
