Update: I have purchased and installed all the parts listed below. I am almost finished with my conversion.

Hello,

Hoping that others who have completed this conversion might be able to help.
Looking for the following parts to get my 73 Coupe back on the road:

1. Flywheel for a 85 BMW 535i
2. 2002 Tii Brake Booster
3. Bell Housing Unit - 85 BMW 535i

Any assistance would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Antar J.

So the tii booster is the best fit? not the large stock booster? I have a 3.5 motronic FI with a 5 speed from an 86 735i that I am planning on putting in my 73 e3. Any thoughts as to MAF and airbox? Sorry for the partial hijack.

'81- on up motronic flywheels have the motronic sensor. Flywheel in pic from 04/82 733i

Historically, from what I read, the 2002 Tii Brake Boosters were a preferred as a way to help make room for larger engines in the E9 engine bay.

No problem. It is a relevant question and the more people commenting on this thread the better. I have got to get my Coupe back up and running. Sooner than later. :)

2002 Tii Brake Boosters: not sure what 'larger engines', tii booster helps with space for side draft carbs

Yes, sfdon, that is at least what I meant. The replacement engine and trans are sitting next to the car currently and I don't think my eyeball estimation is cutting it. I only want to do this once. This Bav has nice paint and I don't need to go screwing it up.

Tii boosters are getting rare and expensive.

Definitely do the L-jet bananas; looks more period correct than the B34/35 tarantula intake.

Getting close to the final lap of my 3.5 motor and Getrag 5-sp conversion. Now I am in need a of shift surround and shift boot. I started the DYI shifter console transformation beautifully chronicled in deQuincey’s 10-17-2015 Post but as a novice without all the right tools it is going to be awhile.

Therefore, I need to purchase an shift surround and leather shift boot. If anyone has any leads or links. I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

So I picked up Hal's Brake Booster and Don's Bell Housing.

Still looking for a good E28 1985 535 Flywheel ? Anyone have any leads?

Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it.
A lot has happened since this last post, I have purchased all the parts listed in this original post. Mostly by collecting as many parts as possible from other fellow E9's Form members. In early Sept 2022, finally put my car in the shop for the conversion to a bigger 3.5 engine and manual transmission.
