Hi. Looking for another dead pedal. Shop doing jbbrjw interior misplaced the one I wanted to install. If you have one let me know if willing to sell. Thx

Was there ever an in-period Alpina dead pedal?
I think so, I have one and have seen the pics of it in original alpina cars. I might put the original in my taiga Csl with alpina suspension and 5 speed. Someone made the replicas a while back and I bought one but now it’s missing.

Here is one pic

No. I found that on the internet. I think I have seen a few others and I did not make the replica either.

Yes Tyson, that’s my car.

@ccr2002
Markos, you and I had this dead pedal conversation not too long ago and I sent you pics of my car with it in it, the pic you posted.

Man, look at that dash!

@Markos you aren't wrong... typical pieces from the period are a sheet of aluminum hammered over a block of hardwood, not complex fabrication.

Factory items later on were stamped and drilled. Porsche didn't even bother with that. They added lightness with things like Balsa shift knobs.

Paul says although he made a hundred but they were for the e30 but there were 15 for the e9, he sold the to Guten Parts, maybe they still have some. The were for an e28 but fit e9. He thinks early Alpinas were simple diamond plate.

if you're still looking for something...

Thanks, I've discovered the "real" in period dead pedals were pretty crude. These factory made ones are nice but ain't accurate....unfortunate because they are available...
