I recently ordered a pair of new, early-style trunk lid panels from Alvaro (Oil's.)
They arrived pretty quickly, but the packaging had been abused by some not-so-careful shippers and a couple of the corners of the two pieces were damaged in transit. Alvaro immediately shipped out replacements with some extra packaging and they arrived safe & sound. - Great service and I would like to return some funds to Alvaro on this set.
I have since glued and blocked the damaged sections and they look pretty good once repaired. Not perfect, but pretty darn good. See the pictures for close-ups of the two repaired Masonite panel areas. There is some small scuffing of the vinyl edge as well that did not get captured in the pictures but likely will not be noticeable once mounted, - just for full disclosure.
Will probably be able to meet up at the next Neue Klasse & Kaffee in Los Gatos on December 18th to hand them off if that's helpful.
