How to replace Bosch gearbox

You will have to pull the rear window assembly out I order to get to the three bolts that hold the transmission in place.
while you are in there, clean out the window tracks and re- grease the slides. @deQuincey did a very thorough case study on how to do it.

That’s what I was thinking but having trouble removing that entire window assembly. I think I have all the bolts removed but it’s still not budging
Thanks Thomas. If I could just get that window assembly out ?!?! I think I have all the bolts removed but it is still not coming out. I’ll give it another try tomorrow evening.

There is very little holding it in. I think the glass needs to be down, at least out of the guides on top.
As I recall there is a corner of the upper frame that is pinched against the door latch post. Look closely as it will need to go back to the same place.
Just don’t remove the two screws that have a slotted end and held in by a nut. They adjust the glasses travel relative to the body. If you do remove them take a pic to see how they were adjusted.
