I am searching for 'good' tires for my CS project. Gone are the days where we had many choices.

Good to me is Michelin quality -very good dry adhesion, and quiet. I've spent a lot of time assembling this Michelin leaning tire guide with some dimensional data on each and listing some of the shrinking alternatives.

I welcome some opinions for others on what tires they have found that work for them, what sizes they found available, etc.

Many attempts were made to add these as jpg images but I must be violating some forum format issues. Here it is in PDF form.

Thanks in advance for any experience.

Have you looked at the Costco site? Several choices in Michelin for the 205 size. The 225 looks to be temporarily our of stock but still part of their web offers.

After bumping the front tires to 55 aspect ratio, all of the starts started to align. Found these at Walmart of all places.......

I looked briefly at Costco, then got stuck in the Walmart rabbit hole. Costco had slightly better prices. Thanks this info!

Pilot Sport 4 and the All Season (tread pattern probably better suited to the E9) should be available in both sizes.

Continental Extreme Contact Sport (the summer tire) are also very good. Harder to find deals on them though.

Dwindling tire choices are the continued result of the pandemic. Michelin has been having a very rough time keeping up with production and has been plagued with pipeline issues. This compounded by raw material, employee, and finally shipping issues. Keep checking back with suppliers.

Michelin has a $70 rebate that makes the Pilot sport AS 4 about the same price as the Continentals.
