Hi, Have recently fitted replacement weber 32/36 carburetors to my e9 3.0 and found a hesitation went on the secondaries, so I booked it in to a tuning shop and they told me the secondary jets are to large ( 140 ) and new 120 jets will have to be ordered. Has anyone else had this issue with the webers as my new carbs were ordered specifically as a direct replacement to the zeniths. The carbs were purchased from redline.

I used 140's in the primaries and 170's in the secondaries. I copied c.d.iesel's setup and it worked very well. You can see it about halfway down in this post from 2002faq:

Did your engine suffer from hesitation prior to the installation of the replacement carburetors? Carburetor jetting may be the source of your issue . . . but maybe not.

Opinions regarding carburetor jetting are varied and tend to be a compromise of various factors. This includes base line jetting sizes, where one size rarely works for all. Sadly, the same maxim seems to apply to "tuning" shops. You are hopefully seeking advice from a shop that is familiar with your engine, especially when equipped with Weber carburetors. This generally means a shop that (ordinarily) keeps various carburetor jets and emulsion tubes on hand for for immediate testing and tuning. In any event, here are a few threads worth perusing that may foster your additional consideration of the subject.

Thanks tochi, no hesitation prior to install the tuning shop seems to be on top of there game. When purchasing the new carbs I was under the impression that they would come with the correct jetting.
