1972 Taiga CSL on collecting cars auction

"This 3.0 CSL is reported to be one of only 429 examples produced in left-hand drive with fuel injection, one of even fewer fitted with a city package, and one of just 49 of these cars in Taiga Green metallic. "

City package? Where is the front bumper then?

Why would anybody modify the pictures to make it impossible to tell if the exterior colour is accurate? Going through all 232 pictures you find some that possibly show the real colour. Seems to be Taiga alright.
Upper trim on the doors was straight when new. Now ruined. Passenger side worse than driver's side.
Wheels are Vial, made in France, two spokes less than the original BMW/Alpina wheels.
Has anybody seen the upper mount points for the seatbelts? If so, please leave me a message.
Door opener: straight edge top, curved edge bottom. Always. The one thing I can't stand.

Body color rocker covers, missing black sticker under side vents, wheels, almost all CSL were City Pack. I’ve never seen yellow Bilstein struts, was that common?

Awful photos, but even so, the shape of the rear arches and chrome extensions looks all wrong, they appear to have been replaced looking inside the boot, and badly.

I really hate picking apart cars but it's late Friday arvo, I had a crap day at work, and three beers in:) So here goes..
Why does it have twin exhaust pipes and is it me but the light reflects off the panels in a weird way. That tells me the body work has an uneaven surface.
My tip is restored for sale, not by somebody with care and attention to OEM detail.

Since none of you like it, I'll gladly take it. :)

For me, Taiga + CSL = Dream Car, even if it has a few flaws.

tferrer, did you mean "awful green" or awfully green"? I am interpreting "awful green" to mean way too green. But too green or not, Tiaga is one of my favorite BMW colors and the City Pack is my favorite CSL.

So Vince, I am with you: "Tiaga + CSL = Dream Car..."

Some of the (enhanced?) photos do give it a moparesque green look but the pics of the handbooks on the hood are metallic tAiga.

It does look like a lighting/photography issue, but it could also be color selection. There is a fair amount of overspray on the car.

Can't find the car on the autoscout site. Can someone post the actual auction for that car? thanks

Well I should say Fjord is my favorite as my car is that color but I love anything green so in truth, Tiaga is by far my favorite.

I meant the shade of green was "awfully" green. Apologize

Having said that, every pic looks like a different shade. It's one of those colors that's dependent on camera settings, monitor values and just subjective perception...
