1973 CSi FS on Hemmings

Red piping on the seats, I don't mind it - just a little different. In the link that @Marco posted there is a close up of the steering wheel - its a Petri but from what year/car?

Wow, lots of things to fix. Trunk fuzzy lining, no trunk lid covers or rubber bump stops, no toolbox or tools. Sewn seat shoulders, missing seals aft and under doors, missing piping on front and rear of door cards. Missing black sticker under side vents, painted cover over vent fan, screws holding headlight covers, rubber hiding fender seams, and the list goes on.

“This 3.0 CSI has been restored and mechanically rebuilt form A to Z. Not a quick once over but done with care, attention and the right budget.”

The Coupe has correctly painted wheel wells and a unique (what is it?) steering wheel.

It is a Petri.

Forgive me, it's not my habit to criticize, but this car, which according to the seller, this is one of the most gorgeous BMW's ever, deserves my criticism. I don't feel like he calls a "learned gents", but someone who has the eyes to see that, the car has had a bad restoration, wrong wood, wrong leather and seats, left door column sheet metal, where are the hinges of the door, with a bad restoration, not to mention that horrible steering wheel, it's not that being a Petri, gives a passport to Heaven
I think the seller has put his hands forward for the criticisms of the "learned gents "

I had bought one of those Petris once for a joke. I couldn’t go through with it by the time I got back to Phoenix so I sold it to a friend. Of course by the time I had put my 2-tone 528e on BaT, I thought it would have been the perfect wheel for it.

I get a very strong early 80s VW vibe from that steering wheel. I find the trunk lining interesting because it's wrong, but is also presumably custom made? (Question and comment.) I'm gonna spend extra money to have somebody make me the wrong thing. Maybe these carpet liners exist somewhere as

Most replacement covers are made from vinyl and just look so much better than mouse fur.
