Guys,

I am about to buy some parts from Ireland Engineering.

Some recent bad google reviews. They are responsive on email but I cannot seem to get them on the phone.

He says the are too busy to answer the phone!!

It is a 3rd party part so not so much concern re quality issues, but just want to get a sense of whether the parts will actually turn up!!

Any recent experiences from you guys?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Maddening...

Same story for a year now.

If you need to talk to them on the phone you are wasting your time.

Hell of a business model.

It’s a topic at BMW2002faq.com as well. Like Don said it’s a strange business model.

I’ve place a couple small orders through their website in the last year with no issues. Never tried to contact them directly.

I had excellent service from rogerstii recently. So we can expect those with less than setllar service to rise up in unison. Seems to be that way about most suppliers these days.

If you order on line you get those parts no problem, and they will email you In relationship to those orders…but I have had no luck on phone service or answering email if not part of /related to an online order.

Ha!! yep,, all I want to know is that parts turn up,,,, sounds like they do.... there a variety of different business models these days, I particularly like the AI chat bots......

Sounds like the same business model as Rockauto.
100% online and they do not and will not answer the phone.

There seem to be a bunch of these "models" around. IE has M6 rotors on back order, no phone, no response to the message I left, I put my name on a list to be notified and 1.5 years later, nada. I don't chase people. It is small acts that let you know what people are made of.

They shipped me the incorrect rear brake calipers for my 1973 BMW 3.0 S - held my car up in the repair shop for well over two-months, due to their complete incompetence and lack of attention to details....

Don't forget our poor forum member that IE shipped his parts to the WRONG country and wouldn't send him replacement parts until they got them back..
Months long battle.

Aggregate all the comments on all the posts about Ireland Engineering and they would hardly get 2 stars. I will find other, better regarded suppliers.

Just received parts to Germany this week from Ireland engineering. Took 1 week from order without problems. I’ve ordered from them in the past (years ago) also to australia and delivery time was fast.. can’t speak for customer service though..

They answer emails at least; at least the last time I asked them about their E9 big brake wilwood kit that I bought used on ebay.

I placed an order the last week of January this year and one week later it was via FedEx at my home in the Netherlands. Everything nicely arranged. But therefore also no additional contact with them to judge about.

I had seen the reviews also, so placed a relative small order which included the sway bar set. Still want to order the Willwood set in the future, but preferably when they have them on stock again and no 12 weeks delay as mentioned on their site.
