WTB: BMW E3 E9 E10 Sport Steering Wheel Spoke Corner Chrome Trims

I'm in need for 2 wheels, so 3+3=6 sets!

I made a few by hand from stainless steel, and for 90 euro for a wheel, I can't do it myself.

Thanks Erik! I have no idea why I have no notification from the forum on my e-mail.

I think I would be able to provide 6 sets still this week if you are interested. Please PM me. :)

I'm looking for chrome half-rings used for genuine classic BMW steering wheel.

Parts are used on the spoke corners, close to steering ring.

Are they available?
Maybe someone has some?

Even single top/bottom parts are welcome.

I would be happy with almost any visual condition.
Hello, I have the same problem if you fined more than one let me know I need one for mine

Hi. Sorry. I'm not receiving automatic notification from the forum about the messages (it was working in the past).

I should have more of these over the weekend.

I will be checking my inbox daily, so PM me please for details.

To refresh the topic...

I found the shop, able to make these jewels.

The price would be probably ~$30 (ballpark) for a pair (front+rear)

Is Anyone interested to make the order possible?

Finally the price for a pair will be lower than I have indicated: $20 for a pair. I have some more available.

Set for Erik has been shipped including recent pricing.

I hope he will be able to share his opinion once it will reach his address.

Recieved the part from @Krzysztof today.

The parts are just excellent when comparing them to 4 Nos rear parts I have. Shape is identical, chrome color is perfect. 1 of the 6 parts has a blemishes, but so does the one of the 4 nos ones.

Measured 5 dimensions with a caliper, and all of them are within 0,4 mm correct. I'd call that perfect.

One difference is the nos parts has sharp edges, where the repro parts are a bit more rounded, but that is the backside of the part, so not visible after install.

Conclusion: buy with confidence!

Pictures show 3x2 parts from Krzystof on the left. Bags of NOS parts on the right.

Thanks Erik for your kind words!

I was not aware about the blemish, so I can replace the one by adding one more to the envelope.

No need; its fine as it is. It is not a Rolls Royce after all.

The blemishes are really small, and these parts mount on the backside. In the pic with them on my fingers, left is repro with 4 small points, right is NOS.

Fronts are more scarce by the way then rear parts.

Krzysztof,

A.J. out here in California, would you have any sets available? I am fairly new here, however owned my 3.0 coupe cars in the past and very active in the Porsche forums. Please let me know.
Regards

As winter is a great time to make some details look nicer it might be a time to consider upgrade of chrome trim of wooden steering wheel models used in E3/E9.

For bulk orders price can be negotiated separately.

Hello Krzys, I would like to get at least one pair, I sent you a pvt message here & included e-mail address

Thank you Don for kind words! It is very pleasant to hear that from such experienced E9's Expert.

I still have many sets available (probably till the end of combustion engine era), so no worries. :)
