That’s the one I have in my ‘73 Euro, meaning the round one.

I too have this one, US car, July of 1972 manufacture.

It's from a different car, the hole needs to become wider, but maybe better than nothing.

That hole will need to be opened up, you can see the wing nut that holds it.

I bought the round one from BMW NA a while back. The part number was 36111106017.

I just searched for it on a dealer's website and they are listing both the older rectangular one and the circular one as available. They're showing the rectangular one as having PN 36111106017, but like I said that got me the round one. If they have them here in the US maybe you can find one through a dealer there.
