Hi i have pulled the windscreen on the 2000c I’m fiddling with and have found the bottom corners and made of silicon and rust.

Any panels out there or tips on the repairs?

Thanks.

Not entirely sure, but for the e9 the lower edges are available through walloth and Nesch in Germany. I think that 2000cs has identical parts, but the W&N website will guide you.

I searched, but could not find the front parts. Here is the rear for reference:

You might try and write W&N, they might just have it.
Also amazingly some panels are still available from the dealer - did you try them already?

Hi there one corner of mine was rusted also , so I had to cut out the rust , treat the panel behind it with rust converter, then make up a repair panel and tig weld and spot weld that in .
Before I did any of that I removed the dash as I didn’t want to damage it with heat from the welding.
I also want to re do the wood anyway so it made sense to take it out then.

Hi, good thinking the rear may have a similar shape to the front.
I fear i am going to have to make something for these repairs.

W&N do something for the windscreen but it looks more like an interior section, i think ill purchase these just incase and go from there.

Thank you

This shows how the W&N edge repair sheet fits into the corner. It is welded to the upper part of the dash lining, the top corner of the fender will be placed then on top.20210118_182800.jpg

....to be installed at this place for the E9. Whether they could be helpful on a 2000C I can´t say.

Anyhow, Barry: what we see in your pictures might only be the tip of the Iceberg

Under the surface it may look like this
