Yeah, I have looked into all options and they are varying degrees of bad/expensive. Has to be done, so just a matter of which option is least bad. Polishing/coating is my current best bet for most parts, but a little challenging and still quite costly as I do not have the time to do it myself. At least if I buy something else, I have decent condition parts to sell to offset the cost as most of my parts are good, just not to the finish level I need. I also know I need the front and rear window trim as those are missing, and even the W&N cost is tough to swallow

Yeah, I have been hesitant to buy any new beltline trim for that reason including the W&N ones. I actually have a NOS front trim piece, but can really only use that if I find all the perfectly matched anodizing trim to go with it that actually fits.Just connecting: There is a full external trim set available through GermanyExclusive, e9 expert here in NL.
Mind you, BMW sold alu waist trim parts in the ~2010 era that fitted badly. No knowledge if what is available here has that dilemma.

That was actually my first option. I emailed Dan and they no longer do the polishing part, which means taking it to two different places and sending it around after it has been polished. Have a backup option for that locally, but it comes out pretty pricey as well.
