A buddy is looking at a 2004 330CSi with 12,546 miles, original owner. BMW mechanic serviced since 2014, Owner is asking $15,000.

330CSi 2004 12K miles A good deal?

If it's truly a 12,500 mile car I its a good price. I realize that a non "M" e46 isn't that high demand but those miles bring a real premium.
Also I think its not a "csi" but rather a "ci" right?
I will check and get back. If it is a Ci and not a CSi does that make a difference in its value?
Ultra low miles isn't always a good thing.
Is it a 6 speed or automatic? Does it have the ZHP (performance upgrades) option?
6sp plus ZHP is the most desireable in IMHO.

Also is the automatic a problematic transmission?
I think Dan was referring to gaskets, hoses and fluids and such. Don't age well when under used. Or is that a myth?
Gaskets and seals. Think transmission seals and the like, which are more likely to require some shop time. Not all cars suffer from this and I suspect it is less of a problem for a more modern car with better seal technology...but that is just a supposition.
Got it, yes any car that has been sitting any amount of time should have all new fluids and filters, consider flushing the gas tank and possibly all new rubber. I bought a 67 T-bird with 38k miles in high school - didn't know better - two tires blew out. Gaskets makes sense if the car hadn't been driven.
