Good day folks,

I have a 1972 3.0CSi and am hunting for the following driver or better (will consider all since condition is in the eye of the beholder) quality parts:

Needs:
Fuel tank
Coolant overflow tank
IMG_9312.jpeg

Rear fog light housing and red lens
IMG_9311.jpeg

Rear seat (only driver side needed)
Rear script (3.0 + CSi)

Wants:
Trunk boards
Rear under bumper/bumperettes

Please PM pics and price! PayPal ready. Located in the Sacramento area.

Also have e3 and 2002 parts to trade if that interests you.

Cheers,
Rich

i'm sure you are aware that the CSi fuel tank is different than the standard CS fuel tank. they are harder to find in the USA ... but it might just take a little longer, but not unobtanium.

I am finding that out! I did find one from another forum member, but it was cut apart, cleaned, and welded back together. Might be my only option for the time being.

Thanks for the heads up!

Any tank will work as long as it’s a proper top or bottom mount if you can’t find a Csi tank. You will need an intank 3 series pump and assembly. 77 bucks?
You have my number. I’m in Telluride this week- back Saturday.

I appreciate the knowledge Don! Hopefully you’re skiing, I plan on heading up next weekend.

I have front belt trim and front head light grills. They are at my painter let me pick them up and send you pictures

@RichenFamous - your stalks for wiper and turn signal are pre- or post-facelift?
I would assume with a '72 you have the earlier version:
-left side is high beam
-right side is wiper control and turn signal + knob in the center console for wiper speed

for the post-facelift cars the wiring harness and stalks are different:
-left side is high beam and indicator
-right side is wiper control and speed

Also guess early version as shown above.

There are these two versions, and both come either in aluminum or brass.

The ignition lock also comes in two versions, namely the early short one and the later longer one. Check which one is installed. You may determine with the lock still installed in the barrel by looking at the outer ring of the lock.
Having a "one-key-locking-system" is always desirable, with two master-keys and one valet key for ignition, doors, trunk and glovebox.
@RichenFamous pm me if you can't find your items elsewhere

I believe this car should be the early style. Both are missing, so I’ll have to get pics and hope the plugs are different and I’ll be able to tell that way.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out this far! Truly appreciate it. I’ve sent replies to everyone and have a few deals underway. I’ll update my list as needs/wants are met.

Just so it is said, this is a car I am building back from the dead and will plan to remain in my garage until I pass it on to my son. I am not building for someone else or to flip. I absolutely love this car and have always had the hopes I would own a coupe one day. It will be right at home next to the 2002 and 2800 e3.

Concur - once you have confirmed your plugs you can determine which stalks you need, and get the right ones.

Figured out the high beam switch (left side of column) I am in need of.
The wiring is still there and the backside of the switch, so confirming it looks like the one from Walloth which is NLA.

So you need the high beam stalk for the early version as you have identified correctly - this puts you in the right spot to source the correct parts (left + right) as @TomHom and I had assumed above.
