I don't know much about the world of classic concours. But Dirk's 507 won at Villa D'este. Does he have a chance today at Pebble Beach?

Maybe Andrew @adawil2002 knows more about the situation ?

Oh nice….literally just texted Dirk wishing him good luck with 507 @ pebble….and shared to him in Closing “best wishes from far more pedestrian vintage bmw guy (73 baur and 7 other 70s models, 2 for sale) thomas…..how can we have Dirks Life ?! (Respectful wink & smile). Best wishes everyone !

unfortunately i saw the presentation of the postwar sports touring and sports racing ... and unfortunately our friends didn't take one of the top places in their class ... AAARGH. that being said, thank you guys for representing us so well with your special + beautiful cars!

Just to be clear, I did not take that pic. I grabbed it from the live presentation and added the highlights...

Unfortunately they were both facing incredibly stiff competition
 
Being invited to show a car at the Pebble Beach Concours is already a huge honor, a win in itself. After two big trophies at Villa d'Este, there wasn't anything that could rain on our party. We went in with zero expectation, even more so when we saw all the incredible cars at the transportation center and on the Tour. A prewar 327/28 won third in its class, so at least the marque was represented on the podium.
