Friendly Hello everyone and Happy Labor Day weekend !
decided to part with my 1974e3 Bavaria (that i have recently put out there on this Site and also bmwcca.org) and also my 1969e3-2800 AtlantikBlau / black interior, 4sp, no sunroof, brand new Dual Webers, runs VERY nicely. Both cars i have rescued within last 2 years and already have mechanically fixed / replaced many parts….will be attending some bmwcca events in Sept and also the very nice NY chapter “Vintage @ Saratoga (Springs) “ in early Oct..usually a very big bmw audience but depending on weather too…if ANYONE serious about in-person inspection/Drive/chat , and coming from a relative long distance , i personally would offer one night Stay @ local Courtyard Marriott to give the potential Buyer more leisure time (logistics). I am NOT asking for proverbial kings ransom but just very fair / reasonable pricing AND to someone hopefully who loves/respects/appreciates these older vintage bmw models. Reason for “begrudgingly” selling ? If i had a bigger Barn/storage, would likely not sell these but continue to slowly methodically restore the Bodies even though honestly/transparently both these are relatively clean, NOT concours-caliber but show very nicely. Up close there are a few Paint bubbles on Fender and few other spots but Undercarriage on both are fairly nice, especially considering both are 50plus years old and well preserved…always happily welcome to talk to any interested….thomas in westchester county NY (member of NY, Boston, CT, and 2002 chapters). [email protected] PLEASE state in Subj about this Ad, no scams please…i am North of NYC area and bordering CT greenwich/Stamford areas but in westchester County…..enjoy holiday weekend everyone !!

I would love to buy your '69 E3/2800, but I am in the same situation - I do not have the storage space for another vehicle.

The 2800's VIN should be 242 xxxx. One of 708 vehicles:

Good luck with the sale. Great work.
Yes Rblongboarder…you are correct…vin is 242001*…..and with both cars, would really ONLY sell either/both cars to someone who would with conviction continue to slowly methodically fix if they wish OR simply drive as they are now…both are rather nice & unique/rare…i am happy i bought them and immediately began to mechanically address & fix them to this point and make them very nice Drivers…while NOT concours-caliber body, both are relatively pretty clean, minimal body/Paint issues….if no Buyers step up, maybe i send 69e3 away over Winter and carve out some budget space for it.
Do you have good cheap storage facility business in your area ? Enjoy holiday…..thomas
