Oh thanks Chris, I thought maybe I forgot to hit "post reply" or something, it was under "E9 Discussions." I thought I posted on "parts for sale/wanted." That explains it.

Great...thanks Tom!

BMW Oldtimerteile is requiring me to enter a VAT ID and a Company even when I select "Private" not "Company." I have not encountered this before. Does anyone know a work around this? Or will I have to have my cousin in Holland order it and have it shipped to him? He owns his own business. This is for the front rubber pieces.

....just talked to Stefan Ries. He asked to just send him a mail with the parts you need and he will handle it manually
Good to know, thanks. I just reached out to my cousin in Holland and since he hasn't shipped the bumper yet, I asked him to order it and reimburse him. That way it will most likely save me on shipping direct to US and any tariffs. But good to know for the future. Thanks again! -S

Chris:

To ask an absolutely novice question: how do you do that? Walk into any BMW dealer and ask for part number XXXXX? If so, are there better/worse dealers here in Orange County for this? Or, must vintage parts be ordered online through some BMW site?

Thanks

Jay
Just walk in with the part number(s) and don't get testy when they ask you for the last 7 digits of the VIN. Both Crevier in Santa Ana and Sterling in Newport Beach have been friendly and helpful. I believe both offer a CCA discount.
