These have been off and on listed for the last year or so on ebay and FB marketplace. I want them but I'm just not sure about the refinish quality and the price still. Anyone think these are a good buy?
Great wheel but horrible finish work. they need to be redone. It’s just a rattle can job.

I've emailed him with my concerns. Primer faces, hardware and faces not removed, lips and barrels not polished. Can't really call it "refinished" can you? We'll see if they want to come down on price. They are willing to ship at least! I find it interesting that they just happen to be perfect E9 spec.
I have see these rims in person and they are fully curb rashed and not refinished at all. I had him meet me at the Brisbane Show and Swap a few months back. The blue tape is on there to cover/hide the deep chunks and rash.
I’m ok with projects, but he wasn’t willing to move at all on the price. $750-800, maybe. $2K, hard pass. Plus the way he presented the rims as clean, no bends, no curb rash, had to walk away, zero trust.

Thank you for the heads up! We'll see how many in-depth pics they end up sending me. I'd consider buying them for the faces alone and having some new lips/barrels spun up at some point in the future, but these are the wheels I'd like to have for my car! I spent a good amount of time in my teens and early 20s importing, refinishing and selling JDM wheels so this is a fun little flair for me. That being said, if anyone has some Weds Bavaria faces laying around, I'm your guy!
I understand, I hope you can get them! They are super cool.
I’m into rims as well, love rebuilding and refinishing them.
