hard to get a good look at it but my guess is elm burl

I gotta say, if that was $170K restoration, the seller got hosed.. Seats don't match the door panels, wood seems over glossed, engine bay paint looks tired and dirty.. the list goes on...

Interestingly, I ran across this same coupe at the Mecum Monterey auction during Car Week, just sitting outside under a tree. There was no lot sticker on it, and I don’t think it went across the block at that time.

wasn't in the ancestry project either ... it is now. there are now 1611 coupes in the 'current' and 'somewhat recent' categories, out of 2852 know cars in the series that i am collecting data on.
