Nice to see them retooling the locks.
I bought a key through the BMW dealer ~2 months ago as a trial, hoping to get a black plastic round head with logo, but alas I got the identical oval shaped head one that W&N is now offering.

I’ve never seen that type of gas cap before, was this style available in Europe?

Two questions, since I'm sure they will be asked
1. Price
2. This looks like a different style key than the door locks, correct? This lock likely cannot be rekeyed to use the locks used to open the car doors and trunk

Yes, Key is very small and unique to the cap
Wow, I missed that, was it sold back in the 70s?
I can only assume that it was an original option in 1971. Way I heard the story, the locking fuel cap was introduced during the 1970s Oil Crisis to prevent fuel theft...
But I’ve never seen that Walloth one and it looks a bit strange.
I've never seen a gas cap like this before. But I'm a newbie with just 15 odd coupe years under my belt.
I only have seen the caps with and without the small key, both alike the one that @mariuszmycz is offereing
