okay guys, i have a friend who is looking for an original (preferably NOS) factory exhaust in mild steel. he doesn't spend much time on the forum and prefers to remain relatively private. he does not want a stainless, or aftermarket system ... wants the real thing. anybody got a line on any part of the system?

Scott, I have some used parts that are in very good condition. I am traveling until the end of the month, if he is at all interested I will take some pictures when I get home.

Ah, wish he had gotten to me a few weeks ago. I had offered my original exhaust here and locally but when no bites in months I recycled it. Hope he finds one

such is life ... i heard about this today, so i put it out there.

I kept the almost new stock exhaust from my Malaga coupe and put it on Chamonix, I love the stock sound. Stainless system went to Malaga when I sold it, a bit too much noise at constant throttle on the Highway.

i tend to agree Chris ... mild steel exhaust just sounds great. its all the same thickness and the harmonics work. i went with stainless as it was the easiest to source, when i went to buy, the stock system had already gone NLA for most of the parts. i am hoping all of the sound attenuation will help the situation
