I will be in Seattle Aug 24 and 25, in Bainbridge with Mike Pelly one of those days, if anyone wants to get together.

yes, we learned that when we visited last year - we had NO idea that it originated thereNow that the vast majority of the forum is of Pickleball age, let it be known that the game originated on Bainbridge Island.
I did not know that...interesting. Pickleball is I think fastest growing sport right now. Here in CD'A we have Selkirk, the big racquet and gear manufacturer and it is huge here. Lots of indoor and outdoor courts, a few right down the street and some really nice ones at my club; indoors. I am a tennis player but was thinking of starting it up and playing both. I was even looking into getting a court at the house but they need more space than I thought after the fencing, etc. AND NOT CHEAP! Nothing is cheap anymore but once they starting listing all the costs it adds up quick. Better off with a mini put-put course or I think I may go Bocce Ball route. A portion of my lot is unbuildable but no permits needed for the put-put and Bocce. Pickleball fencing over 4' may have been an issue with the county but not going that route anyways. Now that the vast majority of the forum is of Pickleball age, let it be known that the game originated on Bainbridge Island.
