Seattle

Ah, may just miss you - moving my daughter into Scripps on the 25th. Enjoy August in Seattle - perfect time of year. Maybe drive 20 minutes north and go see your former car ;)

Nuts - I'll be in CA at my nephew's wedding.... Have fun...

Sounds like we need to move the party to California - oh wait, that’s where all you classic BMW guys are anyways!

If you guys are just chilling in Bainbridge and don’t have any southern folks and/or Seattle proper folks meeting up with you, consider a 30 minute wooded drive up to Kingston. It’s easy/free to park in Edmonds and you can walk onto the ferry. Kingston ferry or Bainbridge, walking on will shave up to 2 hours off the experience. Kingston has beer on tap also.

We will just use light rail and bus, we know how to get around and it is so easy. Mike Pelly is on Bainbridge and we will spend a day with with him and Sara. We will be on Madison near Seattle University, Shawn is baby sitting her niece’s cat!

MIke moved to Bainbridge? I used to go there when I was stationed at Ft. Lewis to play pool along an inlet on the water. Forget the name of the place. I know he is on here but say hi for me. Have fun!

Now that the vast majority of the forum is of Pickleball age, let it be known that the game originated on Bainbridge Island.

I did not know that...interesting. Pickleball is I think fastest growing sport right now. Here in CD'A we have Selkirk, the big racquet and gear manufacturer and it is huge here. Lots of indoor and outdoor courts, a few right down the street and some really nice ones at my club; indoors. I am a tennis player but was thinking of starting it up and playing both. I was even looking into getting a court at the house but they need more space than I thought after the fencing, etc. AND NOT CHEAP! Nothing is cheap anymore but once they starting listing all the costs it adds up quick. Better off with a mini put-put course or I think I may go Bocce Ball route. A portion of my lot is unbuildable but no permits needed for the put-put and Bocce. Pickleball fencing over 4' may have been an issue with the county but not going that route anyways.
