One of my favourite car channels just posted an E9 video!!!

It is 1+ hr and no voiceover or music, I love Simon's style and art - and the cats!

Love this channel. The kid is a great mechanic. Typically works on American iron but he has a few videos of working on his girl friend’s e28, including an auto to manual swap. Be sure to turn on YouTube closed captions. The e9 looks pretty much stock except for the Webers.

great to see another follower here :-) I found him via the E28 stuff, and then fell for all other videos.

The E9 in the video even has an original mechanical fuel pump, that he revives with a rebuild kit, swapping out the aftermarket fuel electrical pump!

Test drive with some 5000+ RPMs at then end

It's been my favorite since I discovered it a few months ago. Scrappy and inventive, plus beautifully executed videos, with zero talk or filler music.

When I'm now in a pickle with a tough wrenching scenario, I now find myself thinking "... what would Simon do...?".

His broken stud withdrawals are epic...

I have noted that mechanical fuel pump rebuild kit. Am ordering one tomorrow. What a great down-to-earth-regular-guy kinda video. Thank you for posting this.
Oh, and I too, do not miss the loud, heavy metal, soundtrack in the background.....

Really brilliant. The focus and perspective is always on the car; unique points of view. The soundtrack is the sound of debugging and progress; the sound of work.

Did you notice he uses the tools in the trunk for most of the repairs? Very cool.

I've been watching this video while it's slow at work and it makes me wish that I wasn't as meticulous as I am. I wish I had the mentality to just get the car going instead of having to clean, paint, refurb everything that I touch! Great video, I love how it is edited. He does love that heavy duty Green grease!

His content is good, and I was wondering where he found that kit too. I would have replaced that fuel tank though.
