If you said a Euro '72 it would mean one thing- when say Csi it means something else.Nearing restoration and having wiring issues. Does anyone know where I can score a wiring diagram for a '72 CSi? TIA

I'm assuming it's Euro, since the USA models were carved in '72. Instrument panel is metric. If you said a Euro '72 it would mean one thing- when say Csi it means something else.
Are you looking for FI wiring schematic?
It appears there are no chassis grounds either. From what I've gathered, there is a ground strap required from block to chassis and valve cover to fender wall? Plus the negative battery post wire. Can I get by with thicker gauge wires while I wait for trying to find original styles?let us know the issues you are having. i have recently taken my 2800cs harness completely apart and know where many of the wires run. i asked a bunch of questions along the way and others chimed in with answers.

I think I'm good with the FI, the car starts but when other wires are hooked up, we're shorting out.. Left tail light has to be unhooked to run.If you said a Euro '72 it would mean one thing- when say Csi it means something else.

How detailed a diagram do you need? I realize that may be a dumb question - “I want the full deal of course” but sometimes the simple colored diagrams like the ones a few people sell online are good for a quick assessment of what colored wire goes where. The blue books have the full detailed wiring diagram, many parts of which have been posted here.
I did manage to find a color diagram for a CS on an older thread. Hopefully that will help me out. I'm basically going through the whole wiring after it was all removed during a rotisserie resto. I'll post pics soon, after it's cleaned up from the dust. How detailed a diagram do you need? In the regular Cs diagram you can locate the tail lamp wire and start diagnosing. Which part of the tail light causes the fault? There are three lamps in each tail light. If it is the actual tail lamp then either hooking up the right one will have the same effect (they are connected together), or the issue is in the tail light assembly itself (shorted socket)I think I'm good with the FI, the car starts but when other wires are hooked up, we're shorting out.. Sounds like a simple problem.Left tail light has to be unhooked to run
