Per our previous discussion, this one looks how you do red right. And crazy that there are 5 E9s for sale concurrently. I don’t know whether that’s a smart business move - sort of like how all the Chinese restaurants congregate in Chinatown. Would seem to be too competitive but maybe this will draw out ANYONE who wants one of these. An E9 for you, an E9 for you! Oprah-style.

It's e9 week on BaT. Has there ever been five active e9 auctions at the same time?

For whatever reason I typically don't like red Coupes, however, in this case I like it. Looks like a nice one in Verona. Maybe it is the stripes that break it up a bit and shows the lines. I'm also a little impartial to those since I have them on my coupe. This should do well. Seller on here?

Looks nice but could use a little work…
Those grade 8.8 bolts at the bottom of the passenger strut with no safety wire…

And hot engine bay air blowing in your face from all the missing hoses and seals

When did the euro cars get motorized front windows? I have a '72 as well and I have the crank front but this one is a 72 with motors. And as a complete aside, while I am generally impressed with the 1600veloce or 911r photos that have the car in a dark room with very even lighting which really shows every detail, there's something about the outdoor photos of this car that just really makes it zing. Obviously the saturation has been pumped up, but that red against the green leaves or brick street just really make this thing look amazing. And this coming from someone who isn't necessarily into red cars.

It was always an option to have electric windows.

I clearly do not understand bidding behavior on BaT. The other Verona CS is at $95k with still a day to go. While of course it's only the end result that matters, I'm not understanding how that one is generating significant attention while this one is still sitting down at $11k and for a "nicer" CSi model. And let's not even bring up @HB Chris'
Malaga that stalled at $100k, which was a far nicer car than the Verona at $95k.
It would be interesting to see whether there is some strategic advantage as the buyer to early high bidding vs the rapid escalation at the end. My son has been doing some modeling of car pricing for an economics project using BaT data - I'll ask him to look into it.

shill bidding vs real bids

Maybe they kept trying to drive the price up and got greedy. BAT lowballs reserves anyhow. I would be surprised if they accepted anything over $55k for that car.

I’m waiting for the driving video- with the fan on backwards It should be interesting.

Sometimes I get the feeling that the euro cars on bring a trailer are being dumped on those dumb ‘Mericans by a crew of carpetbaggers.

And the driving video appears to have the needle pegged in the red zone….

And pic of the needle position with key off confirms the red zone needle position in driving video.
