I need the small, black rubber bumpers that fit into holes at the rear outer corners of the trunk lid. The Walloth site and Real OEM show this as p/n 51231852347. However, when I look at the photo of the part on Walloth, or on other sites, I see a part that looks like:

I don't think that is correct. I think the part pictured above is too large in diameter to thread into the the hole in the trunk lid and that the correct part snaps into the hole and looks more like:

My questions are:

- Am I correct that the correct bumper will snap in, rather than screw in, to the hole in the underside of the trunk lid?
- What is the p/n of the correct bumper for the trunk lid?

Bottom pic is original and NLA and if you try to remove the rubber stem will tear, might get it out with a small screwdriver. Top is the replacement and it screws in but might be too tall, it is meant for the hood.

Alright, so I'm not crazy. My sense is that the hole in the trunk lid isn't large enough to accommodate the screw-in bumper. But, if it would go in, I suppose its length could be cut down.

Well yes, but at € 24.00 each, plus international shipping, plus tariffs, I'm not sure that I need them that badly (my trunk lid does close OK).

Thank you for the replies - let me think about this problem a little more.
