1974 Euro CS on BaT

Here's another E9 w/o reserve with a combination of pre and post facelift features.
The serious concern is the placement of the 3 point seatbelt anchor behind the rear door card.

I don't think there is any structural metal there for an anchor.

That is an interesting location - I've definitely seen some that have that triangular bracket attached through the wooden trim just a bit higher than this - wonder if someone had welded an extra support behind this.

Nothing but buttah at the top of the fenders behind the strut.
This car really needs a hands on PPI before purchase.

Very puzzling location - for 1974+ BMW updated the interior structure and built dedicated mounting brackets in the rear chassis framework, so the front seatbelt inertia mechanism is entirely out of sight behind the rear seat armrest side panels. That triangular bracket you mention is just a hanging point for the long belt and there is nothing up in that area strong enough to secure a safety belt. This car should have the 74+ seatbelt configuration...

2213862 is a pre-facelift coupe built towards the end of 1973, most likely sold in 74 so titled as a 74 in Germany.
