A collection of interesting M30 valve covers

NMNA. Found these while searching on eBay. I was looking at M30B30 (#1250105) and M30B34/35 (#1260346, #1277744, #1710973) valve covers...

all of the ones by kostovm95 (2 thru 5) look to all be custom. on the bmw motorsport one, you can see where the ribs were ground off. the rest seems to have been built up and then machined

Thanks for the feedback. I have no plan to purchase items like this, but I did wonder if they were originals, re-pops, or newly-fabbed customs...

The Motorsport and Alpina are definitely custom made parts and were never produced in this design originally. The Schnitzer also locked differently from my memory.

Those all look pretty cool but also very pricey for non-original covers. The quality doesn't look bad without actual inspection.

If you actually had each of these build you an engine I might be tempted by one of them but to me it's guilding the Lilly and or advertising for someone else. I'm totally happy with the stock 3 initials.

You KNOW how much faster the car is with a cool valve cover..

Mk Motorsport could be legit, looks the but but dare I say “who cares?”

Racing Dynamics: Should look like the Hartge/MK valve cover.

BMW Motorsport: They never did anything with the M30 by the time the rear M88 version of this valve cover came out.

Schnitzer: This one just didn’t turn out well.

Alpina: Never made this M30 valve cover. Never had an M30 valve cover with a roundel and machined logo. They did have two versions of the B35 valve cover for the B10 BiTurbo. I’ve passed up on the opportunity to buy a few because it just looks fake like the rest.
