this is the standard s14 from an e30 m3. okay its rebuilt, but by whom? 35k is a lot of coin for an s14

A rebuild on a S14 by the handful of remaining professionals runs between $18-$30k. I just had one of my three S14s rebuilt by Terry Tinney (thank you to Don). There are multiple engine parts that are now NLA, and what is available is really expensive. Depending on whom built this engine, I think that this can be a good deal.

very true ... IF it was built by one of those correct people. but don't you think, if you had done that, you would have stated who the engine builder was? and what kind of job they did / what they replaced? if it was built by Mario or VAC, Terry Tinney or the handful of people really capable ... that raises the value of the engine substantially as you know it was done correctly.
