WTB: Boot shock tower elephant skins for '74

I just bought some at Maximillian

hi stan

for us at the other side of the pond, could you please tell:

- comments on the aspect, colour,... (similar/exact as original ?)
- a pic or two will be highly appreciated
- the price
- where is maximillian ? city,... is it a shop ? contact ?

thanks

has anybody seen the new pieces from mobile tradition to know how similar in appearance they are to the originals?

Repro elephant skin trunk pieces

Chris is correct. The new pieces are soft and pliable. The embossing (i.e. wrinkles) are not as pronounced or deep as the orginal hard shells. The fit is pretty good except that, for some odd reason, they did not provide pre-cut holes for the trunk lid support bolts. So you need to install them, then cut the holes for the bolts. Strange.

Bottom line is that they look good when in place.

Any chance somebody can post a pic for those of us who may be considering purchase of these liners?

Thanks
