Hi all

I am restoring 2 e9's at the moment and we have made a full templated set of interior panels (cabin and boot) 13 pieces including the parcel shelf and boot lining against the rear lights (this panel is flexible and scored to fold) all in a grade birch ply of correct matching thicknesses 1.8-9mm and all holes drilled and batons fitted to match original dimensions/pattern

I have made this full set to match the 2 original sets from my stripped e9's and we have taken great care to get these just right, the templates are programmed into my CNC machine (my furniture company) and I wondering if any forum users are interested in purchasing either individual panels or a full set

To clarify these are bare thin wooden panels to be trimmed in your choice of material

I have seen posts by other users repairing or fabricating the odd panel but I don't believe they are available as a full set.

I am in the uk essex but I am happy to ship worldwide, I will post pics tomorrow and please PM if interested

We are working on other repro pieces such as full dashboard and wood door trim wind splitters, carpet sets and seat shells, will update on progress and post pics soon

Also I have a fully, beautifully reupholstered interior for sale 4 complete seats, arm rests and centre 4 door cards all in a mix of black leather and black alcantara with all chrome re-coated bases sprayed and working perfectly, basically like new! Reson for sale is a stubborn change of color scheme!! Again will post or send pics,

as the cost of shipping the panels across the pond might be a little on the expensive side, any chance we could use the cnc programming over here to have them made here?

thats a fair idea but i might be giving the game away with that one!! unless i can have a dxf file self destruct a-la mission impossible, or down the line set up a distribution arrangement with someone over your side/// i am just checking on the viability and if there would be much interest anyway.... ill check the prices for shipping and i am planning to draw up a price breakdown and option list for each piece and some combined pieces (packs of door card etc)

repro panels price list

hello all,

so i have had a bit of interest on the panels we have reproduced for the E9 the full set consists of 13 panels and they are all very accurate and matched to 2 original sets, the panels are made from birch ply in correct thicknesses and dimensions with all holes drilled, supplied bare and ready for upholstery.

i will be setting up a simple website to offer some other repro parts and we have just sucessfully reproduced a dashboard in both lhd and rhd in walnut burr veneer, also working on repro splitters and ill be able to offer a full upholstery service for all interior parts, we are sourcing materials now and are testing a black vinyl CSL door card to match very close to original.

anyway for now here is the basic bare panel price list to judge interest, i will post a link to a full set of high quality images soon and get a site up asap, i am happy to ship worldwide and for the time being will quote on each enquiry and i can take paypal payments

to reassure i run a bespoke furniture buisness on the edge of london and we reguarly work on unusual projects/fabrications all prices are inclusive of VAT and a VAT invoice from my company will be supplied

i understand your thought, and i apologize if you were thinking that we were expecting you to give us your work. but i would guess that there probably aren't too many people with access to a CNC router. perhaps we can find somebody to make them over here and everytime its used you would receive some predetermined fee or royalty. or if you know somebody with a CNC over here that would partner with you we would have access to them without the exorbitant shipping cost of shipping across the atlantic.

there has been some discussion about using plywood vs. mdf vs. panel board. i have been leaning toward panel board as it is waterproof and comes in sheets sized at 39" x 60" +/- (i forget the actual size).
 
How about the under-dash parts? Mine have peeled back quite a bit, along with the glovebox and fuse panel. Also,once you get coverings nailed, I'll be very interested. Are you planning on replicating the houndstooth pattern and other fine details?

hi yes i am planning to take a look at those pieces, the section under the drivers side especially, one thing im not sure about though is if there are any differences between models and LHD vs RHD.

i am asking alot of questions at the moment and folloing some leads on the basketweave for the cards in both black and the navy blue, i have an exact match for the smooth section and we are working on the heat pressed lines, i wont be offering nearly there items, i will either get them spot on or go the non original route,,,,

Full interior for sale

hello all,

just an update, we have been working on the interior panels and now have a full set made up and covered in a matching "elephant skin" grey vinyl which ill photograph soon

we have also made a CNC'd mdf template for the wooden section of the dash (front rail) and made formers for the ply sections dash and door panels, we are veneering a full ply set next week in a european walnut burr and i will again post images of that, we are able to flip the CAD programme to produce LHD/RHD versions.

also we are templating and sourcing carpet fabrics for LHD/RHD cars

anyway for now i have for sale a fully re-upholstered interior black leather black vinyl black alcantara, very high quality workmanship from our upholsterer

2 front seats (leather/alcantara)
2 rear seats (leather/alcantara)
4 door cards (alcantara/on our new panels)
4 door panels (leather/with or without wood trim new walnut burr)
rear arm rests and centre (leather/vinyl)
2 front door arm rests (leather)
shift lever box (leather)
2 transmission side panels (leather)
glove box (leather)
panel under steering wheel (leather)
long panel to underside of dash (leather)
panel to top of dash with vents (leather)
cover panel to dials (alcantara)

all chrome and trim parts will be included and fitted

sorry for the poor quality pictures i forgot my camera today i will have good quality images tomorrow.

in terms of pricing there are a few options but for all in the image £4000 (£3750 with exchange of interior)

all in the image plus all wood trim and dash parts new veneered walnut burr polished polyurethane lacquer (essentially a complete interior bar headlining/sunvisors/parcelshelf/carpets) £6000 (£5750 with exchange of interior and all dash)

i have had quite a few enquiries about what we are making from the UK guys and i am happy to have anyone visit our workshop

if this interior is not to your taste please get in touch as we have 3 sets of seat ready to work on and can repro all other parts

we are working on a full shop website and i will have that up as soon as possible which should simplify all the options!!
