Looks very cool - I suppose similar rust issues to look out for - perhaps drop in on 2002faq.com and do some research.

There's no question it's rare. It will be the center of attention at any 2002 event.
But it is kind of ugly. With the back window zipped down, the top is too short to balance the lower body. On first glance, it looks like a 2002 converted to a pickup.

As always rust is a concern. VIN between 3590001-3590763 for 8/73-12/75 production dates. If you are seriously interested make an appointment with http://sports-car-restoration.com/ have them do a pre-purchase inspection.
A green one sold on ebay for as I recall $12,500. Rarity is not synonymous a high price valuation. People do not yearn for the '02 ugly duckling. A 1600 or genuine 2002 convertible is a different story.

I had the opportunity to do a pretty good inspection and there is only one rust spot that's all the way through-by the gas pedal, but I think the drain holes were cut out and re welded so I'm sure there are a couple of issues I'm missing. The price is very low since it's from a f.o.a.f. so I think I'll give it a shot- I don't think I'll lose anything but you never know. I attached a pic of the 3.0 CS ready for the body and paint to keep "within the forum".
