Does anybody know these folks?

"Germany's "dream" classics"

They only show up on ebay, no web site in of itself. Apparently located in Germany. +99% customer satisfaction but I'm not convinced this means anything.

They have a set of seat belts for sale that apparently fits everything. I checked today and an OEM from La Jolla is $1350 (no slight on them, they do first class work)

This guy is selling a set for about $290. No way that I can see to e-mail the seller to find out how long they are.

Thoughts?

I was also looking at these, and sent the seller a message about installation and other details. Waiting on response.

OK, post up the answer. I think the belts need to be on the order of 120 inches long to be correct. And the orientation of the lock (verticle ro horizintal) makes a difference.

Where on the website is the "ask the seller" question part?

No guarantee these aren't Chinese made. Lots of discussion using Search feature. Some of us have belts made by Bluedevils who has posted here and on 2002FAQ board. Especially since your 72 should have the roof mounting bolt in front of the grab handle.

Yes, I've corresponded with Bluedevils. The problem here is I don't have the end pieces he needs. He can provide the webbing but not the retractors, belt ends, etc. He sounds to be good though, if you have the accessories.

I also checked out a couple of the links to after market outfits like...$hit, the name escapes me (CRAFT moment)....the big cheap mailorder outfits. Out of stock in general and not so sure if they will fit. Most of these big mail order outfits list everything under the sun to fit correctly. I got severly burned on a set of cross drilled brakes for my Tacoma so I am leary of them.

Remembered! Summit Racing! I don't trust them to mail a letter, let alone get a set of seat bealts right.

So what's to do? What fits?

I feel like I'm wearing this subject. Sorry! No parts from parts cars either.

Bluedevils had Autoflug retractors two years ago as well as others to choose from. If you have Autoflugbelts you can send him the tongues. The anchors and such are generic. I used my existing receivers on the tunnel.

From our Barn Find 75 CSi. I have sent the belts to two different potential buyers. Both their cars are late 2800 and an early 3.0CS.
Both were told by their mechanics that mounting and making the necessary changes would be prohibitive. I returned the one guy's money and gave the belts to the other with the understanding he could pay if they worked.
Currently I am talking with a guy with another early early 70s CS. I have sent photos and measurements and waiting for him to get back to me.

Who knew it was so complicated or that BMW changed who knows what from model year to model year. Be really careful. Work out a return policy that protects you.

He went by the name " schiller5 " for the last 12 years on E-bay. He just changed his name in June.

Yes, I have corresponded with them. For some reason I can't remember, I never ordered any. I just re-checked their e-mail to me and the prices seems reasonable. Looks like £105-£130 for period style per side. I may have to re-visit them. Will post up the conclusion. Thanks for reminding me

No response so far from seller.
The ask a question is near the bottom of the page.

No response from the U.K. outfit either. Been a couple of days now.

When I lived there, I remember trying to buy a water hose fitting for my Roadster from a local car parts stockist. The guy wouldn't sell it to me because he didn't think it was right. My final answer to him after 15 minutes of arguing was "what will it take for you to take my money!!!????" :-D
