We had our usual dinner with Murray last night and had quite a turnout of local BMW enthusiasts. Starting with back row from left: Patrick Hong (former R&T editor), Mark Judy, Tom Rakestraw, Drew Feustel (visiting from Houston), Gary Wittman, John LaPorta, Jerry Dotson. Middle row from left: myself, Jay Mackro, Murray, Mike Pelly, Andy Wong, Mike Burger. In front: Fred Larimer and Paul Cain.

Gathering at Murrays last night--

BTW--our visitor from Houston--Drew Feustel--is none other then our most traveled astronaut--ever!!
 
Wish I could have been there. I did talk to Pelly on the phone and tell him what wine to buy...didn't know where he was going though.

so you like very oaky / butterscotch monsters from the use of maloactic fermentation. i used to like those chards ... got away from them - moved on to Walter Hansel, Anderson Conn Valley, Varner, Dumol. perfect for sipping while reading about coupes on this forum
 
Thanks to Murray and Beatrice (and sis) for hosting, and thanks to those who supplied the food!

We all had some good laughs and it was great to meet everybody. I look forward to catching up with folks the next time I make my way to the area.
