I think recognition of Murray and Blumax at Pebble Beach along with a general feature of pre-1975 BMW coupes would be good. When is BMW the featured marque?

There's a monthly weekend morning gathering at F40 Motorsports pending weather conditions. Might be a good way to promote e9 awareness. I'll keep interested parties posted in 2013.

As luck would have it, our marketing folks are meeting with Discovery tomorrow (Discovery carries Velocity, who in turn produce Wayne's show). Ive asked them to inquire on the best way to pitch this to the producers of Chasing Classic Cars.

It would make great tv for 10 or so coupes to show up at F40 Motorsports one day and "surprise" Wayne.

I totally agree that there is nothing that works like VOLUME. Everywhere you look there is an E9.
I just heard back from the folks at Discovery. She has offered to put me in contact with the right people at Velocity. What we need is a written request on what we would like.
Who has a contact at Pebble Beach on a possible event featuring e9s, and specifically Murray and Blumax ?

HB Chris on our forum would be one of the Murray/BlueMax contacts. I think Murray would be perfect...especially since Wayne's show seems to like Pebble Beach. Of course, this would be predicated on whether he's interested in departing from his established format....

Wayne is in CT. We can get a modest group of 10 coupes together in the Northeast (which I understand is tiny compared to the CA gatherings). Wayne consistently attends Lime Rock CT "Sunday in the Park" and also Greenwich CT Concours d'Elegance.
The Invitational at Saratoga NY from May 17-19 2013 is a special event and the featured marque in 2013 is BMW.
I am happy to start the thread and fuel the enthusiasm for our beloved E9s but if David has the connection then someone more creative and linguistically gifted than this Australian should help David make the 'idea pitch' , the hook, the spark for making someone claim the idea as their own .
