I came across this listing on Ebay where in the description seller claims the wheels are ultra rare Alpina wheels yet a few lines down he states they are 21 spoke and they are in an offset that Alpina never manufactured. He has them listed as new yet claims they are professionally refurbished and in perfect condition. He seems to be intentionally confusing the reader and unfortunatly has sold a few sets already with a price that is more than double what these wheels sell for. These from what I can tell are the reproduction Chinese made wheels that have been discussed many times in our forum. If you have an Ebay account please go to the listing, click on the Report Item link and let Ebay know this seller is selling reproductions as real Alpinas. I would hate to see someone else get tricked into buying these thinking they are authentic Alpina. Here are links to two listings he has

"** One lucky buyer will own the nicest set of vintage BMW wheels around ....."
"2 sold"
"10+ available"

I would sue China at the WTO.
iphone knockoffs and now this.

Any lawyers in the house?

Most informed BMW guys know that these are facsimile Alpina "21 spoke" rims and not the actual Alpinas. These are not marketed as Alpinas by the manufacturer, but by this unscrupulous Ebay seller. If one were to check out his other items, the same rims could vary by hundreds of dollars, depending on BMW models. This practice is just simply ridiculous! Could Ebay be notified of these fraudulent sales practices and are they willing to do anything with this seller?

Yes Ebay can and should be notified. In the listing on the far right there is a link "Report Item" click on it and follow the instructions. It is anonymous so you should not fear any retaliation.
