I run a Bmw only breaker's based in the middle of the UK and I have been sent your way by a couple of my US clients. Here is my current listings on ebay:-

I have just taken in a '79 635 which I am afraid is a parts car only due to terminal rust. It is a 1979 635, chassis number:-

http://realoem.com/bmw/select.do?vin=5550330

The car has:-

A dogleg 5 speed sports gearbox
Sideloader lsd
Twin pot brake calipers and split/twin servo
E12 based front legs and hubs
All the chrome is present
Banana inlet manifold
011 ecu
A surprisingly well preserved blue leather comfort interior
I should think about 2/3rd's of its' chrome bumpers can be used
Drivers wing is saveable
All the glass is good as are the front and rear lights
14 inch BBS, but the 6.5 not 6J's
An original/early check system

As of the moment, all parts are available, except body panels, except that front drivers wing

I ship world wide, always with Ups/Tnt, always fully tracked and insured to full value of the item.

Will The trans and LSD fit an E9 3.0 csi?

Does anyone know what it would take to fit the 1979 635 dogleg transmission and sideloader LS Diff?
I assume that the prop shaft will need adjusting - longer or shorter?
Is it too much to hope that the transmission and diff will bolt in?
Finally, does the clutch fit like a glove?
If all of that is too good to be true, is it possible to asses a trans and diff by looking at them? I assume no more than if superficially.
Thanks
C

If you know your way round a cs cornisan, then its a weekends worth of work, its better to get the flywheel and clutch that went with the dogleg box, thats if the clutch is good. If not, your local motor factors will have one. The only issue I found was the prop centre mounts, I made up a couple of brackets to suit but I was converting to manual from auto so I had the pedalbox to fabricate aswell. Ive bought off tim and hes a bmw nut, so if you buy from him tour in good hands.
Hope this helps
