Help! A part flew out my window today on the highway!

Hi,

I have a 2800cs from 1971, VIN 2270427. The front passenger window (automatic) was going up a little sluggish, so I pushed on the chrome piece which affixes to the top of the window to give the window a bit of assistance (am I the only one who does this?). The adhesive must have been gone (almost), so the chrome piece with the lip, which attaches to the window, flew out!

1. Does anyone know the part number for this piece; and/or

2. Does anyone have an extra? I have tons of parts I would be glad to trade for a replacement chrome piece.

Thanks for the quick reply. Since "left" is in your part description, would this be the part number for the driver's window, presuming a left hand drive vehicle?

Ha, I do this too.

I do that but open the door a bit to reduce the friction. Never above the speed limit though.

I was going around 90 mph on the expressway!! Definitely didn't want to lean over to open the passenger door!

Oh, I never do that on the passenger side, I let the passenger deal with her own window.
And I never drive 90 mph either...

Raises the question on how folks are gluing these down. Mine are going to fall off any time now.
