Hi

Just got the CSi back from restoration and generally sorting and I noticed that the handbrake lever seems loose / not securely fixed ??

I never had chance to check this before locking her away and returning to work overseas, can anyone suggest possible causes or provide information as to how it is secured ie are the brackets welded to the tunnel or bolted through it etc ? then at least I may have some idea what the problem is

Thanks

hi peter,

for sure i can help you with this
as they say, ...it is not a problem, but an improvement opportunity

it is a desing failure that was solved by sir paul cain sometime ago, you may buy a kit from coupeking
but, as things always get improved over time, i have an optimised solution, that you can follow in my thread about the subject

http://www.e9coupe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11281&page=2

a nice DIY thing

go for the deQuincey kit!

I am very lucky to have the "deQuincey aerospace-quality handbrake kit" installed in my coupe.

Fantastic! and thanks again deQuincey! :-)
