Hi Everyone,
I've been reading this forum for months, and it's been both fun and helpful.
I purchased a '73 3.0cs a couple of months back - found it with the help of Stevehose and this site - and it's in the process of being restored. It's Verona Red on black, beautiful car. The grilles are 'chrome', and I don't like seeing the car paint through the fender grilles, so I've been searching for vent blinds which I understand to be similar to a decal. The only two threads on this site directed me to Coupeking, who no longer sells these. A very reputable shop suggested I paint behind the grille, but there's no way I'm doing that. Does anyone know of another source?
I appreciate your help.

I spoke to them week before last and they told me that they no longer carry these. Interesting to see their description as black tape. Should be easy enough to copy.

i went to a shop that makes vynil decals for cars and etc
i gave them the pattern and they made 2 sets for me in less than 1 hour
it is black satin finish autoadhesive
i recall them being like 20 euro
installed them in 30 seconds

I bought several sheets of exterior grade vinyl and made templates with aluminum foil. I think the vinyl was about $15 for more than I'll ever use. See bottom images in link: http://www.vranedom.com/Exterior/Exterior.html

I finally understand why a British dealer came up with the bad idea of gluing vinyl to the roof. He had sunk cost into more that he would ever use for grills.

Verona rules Lee!

I also did a DIY job with some external vinyl decals, easy.....

Thanks to Stan, I was able to order them from W&N in Germany. Arde, interesting to see your chrome grilles on Verona. Most of them are black, but I prefer the chrome.

Loloe, is yours Verona as well?

mine's Inka Orange
currently going for the black and orange look

black grills, black underlying inserts as mentioned, black side mirrors, black wipers
just for a short time.....
