Thought I post these for no particular reason. I was at a BMW show today and saw two E9s sporting some quirky modded interiors. As a stickler for originality, I don't outright endorse this kind of thing but I find them interesting none-the-less.

while i don't like the first one - at all, i have contemplated doing something like the second one to combine an arm rest along with an extended console.

i do think the moto-lita steering wheel looks good in the e9.

i assumed that those were both changes ... all euro cars don't have the wood grab rail - do they?

might be a good place to start ... but the dash is different on a 2000cs.

The first pic is a pretty good incorporation into the stock dash, particularly the rounded parts of the trim above the glove box. Wonder what it came out of?

All the Aussie delivered cars I have seen have the wood rail. If you are having your dash re trimmed you could probably remove the vinyl and veneer the rail.

The 2000 CS has a wood grab rail - might one or both of those cars be 2000's, instead of 2800 or 3.0 ?

They're both E9s. The top pic is a rather nice 3.0 CS and the bottom one is a 3.0 CSL

I think Decampos has the wood rail

I've just looked at a bunch of photographs of US spec cars. I've never noticed them not having that rail. I wonder why that is.

Yes, I thought so. Was very well done. I think it may be from a british car. Something very British Leyland about the switchgear. (I could be wrong).

I was less keen on the other one. I immediately noticed it unlike the first one.
