E9 A/C on-off, three position fan switch

This assumes you use the internal resistor in the original evaporator box.

Other options are discussed here.

If you have a different blower motor in your AC evaporator box (eg one with built-in resistor on the motor and with separate wires for each speed), you would need a different switch.
 
Thanks, here's a photo of the one I'm looking for and the resistor is incorporated to the back of the switch.

I have one that I bought for my 70 2800CS but it was not the correct one for my car. I will compare it to your photo to see if it looks correct for your 73.
