wow ... ridiculous. i assume that includes the UPS fees as well. and that is for a repro trap mirror. i have BMW flag mirrors.

It was mentioned in an earlier post that Alfa parts sendt from UK went relatively smoothly. Have anyone ordered e9 parts from Jaymic? The UK and EU have distinctly different customs and tax frameworks with the US.
At least they dont use UPS!

That's for a flag mirror. Yes, including fees. I'm assuming from reading this thread (and without any useful info from either WN and/or UPS), that the nuts I ordered to install the bumper strips added substantially to the fees.
I recently ordered a set of small hardware from WN. I was a bit reluctant to do this after all the issues we have had. I got the expected UPS "Exception Report" followed by an invoice from UPS. The tariff was $35, and the UPS Fee was also $35, so $70 on about $200 worth of stuff. That was pretty much as expected. I was waiting for the dread notification hat they needed "customer invoice information" (that stupid from where you basically just repeat whatever W-N put on their invoice only on the UPS version. Surprisingly, that never came. Instead I got a notice that the package had cleared customs and it showed up on my doorstep the next day.
So, the fees are still extravagant, but the actual delivery performance seems to be improving...

yes, fees have doubled. i paid 17 bucks on the last couple of orders. but maybe because there were only a couple of items.

I would beg to differ on that statement
So, when I paid my tariff, I received some additional detail and the amount was a little lower. The tariff was $44 plus fees of $97 for a total of $141. So, the tariff was roughly 12% of the invoice. However, fees were more than double the amount of the tariff. And I have no idea what the fees were for, were they merchandise processing fees or customs clearing fees or brokerage fees or some other fee? They don't tell you.
I actually had a little sympathy for UPS in the beginning of this whole process. I could imagine if I were running a shipping business and suddenly had to worry about being secondarily liable on tariffs, and needed to set up systems to collect a tax immediately, with no small dollar exemption, no time to plan, and constantly changing requirements, that would be a real pain in the ass. I can even understand the decision to make it as painful as possible for the consumer, in the hopes this would diminish the popularity of the tariffs. Again, as a business person, I can see the strategy here.
That said, I'll henceforth be looking for alternatives to UPS.
