Here's another E9 w/o reserve with a combination of pre and post facelift features.
The serious concern is the placement of the 3 point seatbelt anchor behind the rear door card.
Pic 242.
I don't think there is any structural metal there for an anchor.

That is an interesting location - I've definitely seen some that have that triangular bracket attached through the wooden trim just a bit higher than this - wonder if someone had welded an extra support behind this.

Nothing but buttah at the top of the fenders behind the strut.
This car really needs a hands on PPI before purchase.

Very puzzling location - for 1974+ BMW updated the interior structure and built dedicated mounting brackets in the rear chassis framework, so the front seatbelt inertia mechanism is entirely out of sight behind the rear seat armrest side panels. That triangular bracket you mention is just a hanging point for the long belt and there is nothing up in that area strong enough to secure a safety belt. This car should have the 74+ seatbelt configuration...

2213862 is a pre-facelift coupe built towards the end of 1973, most likely sold in 74 so titled as a 74 in Germany.

Off the road since 1985. Eleven years of German winters could easily do some damage. TUV was failing coupes wholesale in the mid 80s. Don't know this car and it being taken off the road might well be a positive but there is not even the slightest sign off the original structure under the hood as you pointed out. Delia Wolfe suggested some behind the dash shots but no response yet on that end.

Is this exhaust factory?

that's easy.
1. there is no center resonator. the center resonator has 2 pipes entering it, this one has a 'Y' into a single pipe - pipes seem almost the same diameter

2. there is no middle muffler (the small one) that is on the angled pipe, before the pipe enters the rear muffler. some people delete this muffler and run a straight pipe to connect the resonator and the rear muffler. the bends in the pipe aren't mandrel bent, so the pipe deforms (not that good for exhaust flow)

3. the rear muffler does not appear to be factory, but that's a maybe small issue, look at the connection of the angled pipe to the rear muffler. do you see any connector to secure the 2 pipes together? i don't ... not good.

My biggest complaint would be that where the two pipes from the header join the single pipe, they are almost pointing at each other...

That can't be too efficient.

Rear muffler is factory as you can see the indentation around the diff but it is a horrible setup. The factory resonators and muffler are NLA from BMW.

I actually like this car, but posting a visual aid given that the seller (dealer) says paint gauges are only useful when advertising original paint.

Using a CSL with minimal seam sealerX show what in this area is really about:

The car is said to have been repainted in the 80’s. I think that was the first repaint. My thesis is that the fenders were repaired and unoriginal butyl mat was added to the strut tops. Also, factory spot welds on the strut tops leave divots not protrusions. Honestly those look like fasteners, maybe rivets. That carmelized polaris on the sound deadening would be from the 80’s since it is unoriginal AND painted. You can see where it is taped off at the border. Thesis current paint looks “too new” IMO and not 40 years old. I know you can have clean paint but other cars are more honest presentations.

A potential buyer is asking about fender repairs and the dealer is giving them nothing. Used car dealers are experts at spotting filler and crash damage.

For those farmer familiar, you need to cut the fenders off and the front weld is above he headlights. The cars didn’t leave the factory with a seam like this:
