73 POLARIS E3 BUILD...Slowly..

that's a big yes sir ... really glad that crap didn't get sucked into your engine. it would be hard on the valve train ... but think of what it would do to the rings + cylinder walls.

I couldn’t even imagine the tears that would stream from my eyes…I actually had just cleaned the head up, waiting for my new cam, and was about to instal the new rockers and springs…I figured, oh, I’ll just set the valve cover on top to protect it from dust…I flip it over and it plops out a lump of that in the fresh head……aaand clean it again…scary

Test fitting bellhousing/fork/throwout and slave. Does it seem like the slave is pushing the fork out too far at rest or is that normal? I felt like the fork should sit parallel with the faces of the trans/clutch. Can’t find any solid pics online and I can’t remember my brother’s e28 that we just did earlier in the year..:-/

I thought the fork should be parallel as well. Hard to tell from your picture but it looks pretty damn parallel to me. Does the URO fork match up well to an OEM?

I just replaced the slave cylinder on a 4-speed a few weeks back and the pushrod looked to push the clutch fork a little proud. Could’ve been my angle under the car, but “felt” like it wasn’t parallel, haha. Works perfect, zero issues.

Yeah, I'm feeling like that makes sense. I'll test fit everything on the engine before I stuff it in the car.. Funny how you do something a bunch of times, then randomly can't remember one little part..getting old, I guess..lol

you might be amazed at how much stuff you can have on the engine before you stuff it in from the underside ... and with a lot less risk to that beautiful new paint.
