I think it's the saturation setting or color filter on to the primary selling photos. Those look very...intense blue for nachtblau. But when you look at photos 13-18, those look more like the nachtblau that originally came on my car. Serious bidders will certainly ask which is closer to "reality."

Have recently witnessed the emasculation of my suggested prose on BaT, I'd suggest that they'd have to fire the lawyers before they fire the writers, if you want to see more interesting copy. The formulaic writing comes from the need (and likely rules and content guidelines handed to listing...

Could be. Or just the overall non-originals made the potential market really narrow on a slow day...It's a color you have to see in person, and literally no one who was a serious bidder saw it.

I think you're dead-on with this, or the majority at least. My listing was a small sample size (me), but my experience was that 1) no one requested a PPI, 2) no one who saw the car in person (all locals) seemed to fully know where to look for issues, or 3) wanted to talk about them, 4) no one...

Thanks, guys. We were tens of thousands off. The number where the bidding ended didn't touch the cost of the restoration. It's an unpredictable pendulum that swings from originality to modifications. The market spoke. Or maybe I just needed more poodles in my pictures.
